Dodge from Dhofar Automotive recently held a unique ‘Dodge Game On’ series held all across the Sultanate which was an instant hit amongst participants and spectators as the challenge was aimed at offering them fun, excitement and an exhilarating experience.

A simulator based challenge saw participants from all walks of life join in to be part of a unique gaming series. Six winners qualified each from Salalah, Sohar and Nizwa to be part of a mega finale.

The aim of the entire initiative was to ‘give back’ something to the dedicated and loyal enthusiasts of the Dodge brand as well as offer fun to auto enthusiasts. It was also seen as an opportunity for officials to interact and bond with their valuable participants.

Dhofar Automotive today offers an exciting line-up of vehicles and goes by the motto of ‘Grab Life’, thus making the initiative a huge success amongst their participants.

An ecstatic winner  of Dodge SRT8, Mohammed Abdullah Suleiman Al Zadjali commented, “It is a dream come true and I am so excited to have finally won this competition.  It was a fantastic event and thanks to Dhofar Automotive for giving us all this chance  to drive on some of the most changeling roads of Oman and making this Ramadan & Eid more fun & exciting with my new DODGE SRT*”

The challenge witnessed a total distance driven of about 13922.65 KM which is seven times the distance going to Muscat to Salalah, to Nizwa to Sohar and back to Muscat. There were a total of 1423 races played during the entire tournament which is almost the amount of 75 Formula One seasons competed in the course of a month. Also the total amount of time driven was 146:40:45 which is close to a full week of driving.

The winner  of Dodge Charger, , Mashal Ismail Al Zadjali commented, “I loved every aspect of the Dodge Game On challenge. It was something unique that was being held here in Oman. I hope Dhofar Automotive introduces more of such challenges in the future.”

The average speed driven was 95 Km/hour and it takes 4 seconds for a Dodge Challenger to get to that speed. The different race tracks during the tournament used were Circuit de Prague (Qualifiers), Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit - Bathurst (Quarter Finals), Silverstone Racing Circuit (Semi Finals) and lastly the famous Yas Marina Circuit (Finals). The Yas Marina circuit is known to be one of the most challenging ones and it involves high levels of skills too.

The rules and regulations of the game were extremely comprehensive and user-friendly. Cars, Courses and Laps were pre-decided for participants and the top timings achieved in the qualifying rounds meant that the winners entered the quarterfinals and consequently battled it out for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions in the final challenge.

Speaking on the success of the challenge an official said, “We received a huge response and it was an instant hit amongst participants for various reasons. Car aficionados had something exciting to do during the weekends and every challenge proved to be more and more exciting for the qualifying winners. We hope to offer them more of such exciting things in the near future.”
